唔公平唔公平, 今朝 GeorG 一大清早跟我講佢公司將5月2日(奧運傳聖火日) and 8月8日 (奧運開幕日)列入公司假期, 點解我無 wor, 我好想睇奧運傳聖火的直播呀!!

一百萬人的故事 - 清潔工人

Just notice outside the office building, there are 2 cleaners standing in a gondola and cleaning the outside windows. Don't know if they have additional allowance by taking up this "dangerous" job ler? Even though they r wearing safety belt, the gondola keep shaking sideway whenever the cleaner are moving while cleaning the windows! Looks so UNSAFE...and this job must not be taken by anyone who has "height phobia" (though our building is only 7 levels high).
見到呢兩個工人, 令我想起無線晚上的節目"一百萬人的故事", 清潔工人, 每天努力工作8小時, 月薪三千元, 放假每天扣一百, 其實我們真的好幸福呀!

因為要幫我賣 Kee Wah cake cards, I have to bother Minnelli to come over from her home to my place to collect the cards yesterday night. 雖然 by the time we meet 已經好夜, 但一場過到來, 我就 “lau” 了她一起驅車去松記食個糖水 ^o^ (好明顯是我自己想食, 趁 Minnelli 揸車搵佢苯車我哋去). 估唔到咁夜 (成11點幾) 仲咁多人排隊, 不過好在等咗 around 5 minutes 已有table.
Again, I ordered 幻彩明珠走花奶.個糖水簡直為這個晚上劃上完美的句號 ^o^

順便想借呢度say Thank You to Minnelli, as I m really honored to be invited as your bridesmaid, the invitation card is “Marvelous!”, I love it so much. I m sure your wedding day is gonna be a sweet sweet day. I will work my best to make sure everything is running smooth and made to perfect…heheee…

舊曆生日的慶祝活動

1st of April is the famous April's Fool day, it was also my honey's lunar birthday this year. Normally, it would be a day of family dinner as we would celebrate with GeorG’s twin brother together! But this year, the family birthday dinner was scheduled on 29th as Bro Dennis suggests.

In order to keep the day special, i decide to prepare a nice dinner for him. During the afternoon, i think hard and aim to make a seafood dinner for him as GeorG loves seagood. However, there wasn't much choice as time is a restriction, by the time i arrived home after buying the ingredients from supermarket, it might already be late, and so my choice could only be limited to seafood dish which require the least preparation time :p

So basically clams and shells are not my cup of tea as it takes time to 吐沙. But I also wont consider crab, fish and lobster as I don't know how to tackle them…hahaa….so it seems the easiest and quickest seafood is 白灼蝦, but other than 白灼蝦, what else i can make?? Well, I remember last time I read from Paroni’s blog that there is 白灼東風螺! She said they are tasty and not expensive. So I quickly search over the Net and find the 東風螺 preparation method, it seems that ppl adopt different ways in cleaning the東風螺, some use salt to soak for 2+ hours to overnight, some use 生粉 to polish them (like washing oyster)…without a definite answer, I then call Paroni to explore more! Oh she said she would soak them in salty water for 2+ hours…oh…that means I cannot make this dish la as I don't have 2 hours to spend … sob sob…

Because of all these reasons, I then give up my seafood dinner planning, and decide to buy buy quality of steak as dinner…hahaaa…

But life is not always following your wish :p When I go to TASTE after work, I first run to the fridge to select steak. On my way to buy vege, I walk pass the seafood stall. 海鮮檔個姐姐猛叫我幫佢買蝦, 因為賣唔去無得放工…我心諗牛扒加白灼蝦都 ok la! 所以就幫襯咗一斤 (都要 $48 一斤 ga). While I m waiting 姐姐 to pack the shrimps, I see a small basket of 東風螺. 口多多的我問個姐姐東風螺點整 ga? 點知兩位海鮮檔姐姐 (include the one packing my shrimp)極度 enthusiastic 咁話 “Hey, 好易搞 ga-ja! 攞張百潔布”省”吓d東風螺, 就好乾淨 ga la.” 聽佢咁講, 又好似好信得過咁. 兩位海鮮檔姐姐見我有d興趣, 猛落咀頭叫我要埋佢 (therefore they can off to work earlier :p). Well, after some bargain (the original listed price is $38 一斤, weighted at $46.8 for this basket of 東風螺), they sold to me at $40...hoohoo…). 結果我就將d steak 放回原來的位置, 買咗 seafood for dinner la.

When I return home, I follow 海鮮檔姐姐’s advice using 百潔布省吓d東風螺, I then combined with the methods shared from Internet, i.e. add some 生粉 to 搞吓佢哋, 見仲有d 時間, 就再用d salty water soak them…I think I managed to soak them for 30 minutes before I cook them. But the soaking water looks very clear indeed, seems no sand 吐出來. 集各家之 advice, the 東風螺 taste clean and fresh…hehee…Here is the 完成圖 for the dinner celebrating my honey’s lunar birthday, not bad ma:

Sa-cool-la Sa-cool-la

前一陣子 easter holiday, GeorG’s 嘅 “me-shoe” 一家大細去了 Tokyo旅行 (因私隱關係, 不便在我們的 blog透露 “me-show” 的名字). 之前佢問 GeorG 有無 Tokyo Travel Guide, 呢個重任, GeorG 當然就 delegate 比我呢個屋企”me-shoe” in charge la. 雖然我哋屋企無 Tokyo Travel Guide, 不過我人面廣 (其實係我身邊好多人都喜歡旅行), 所以好快就借到勁多好東西 and pass on to 公司 “me-show”.

“me-shoe” 回來後, 除咗歸還所有 travel guide books, 仲送了一盒好精緻的 “sa-cool-la” 和菓子比我同 GeorG. 好靚靚呀, “mo-shoe” 一定係想借盒菓子 remind GeorG 日本的櫻花好美美, 又浪漫, 應該帶我去看一看 “sa-cool-la”….haahaa….其實拆開袋 biscuit, 有d唔捨得食, 因為d “sa-cool-la” 實在印得好靚. 不過唔想 GeorG 又話我將d零食放到過期都唔比佢食….所以唯有 忍痛將d “sa-cool-la” 食咗落肚, 但係原來味道比想像差了一大截, 都係”好睇唔好食”…heehee…

Elements & 西九

去完浪漫滿屋, 坐van出番元朗行咗一個圈, 就從康樂路坐輕鐵到元朗站轉西鐵再响南昌站轉東涌線去九龍站 (in brief…港鐵遊由北到南). 因為 GeorG 咁耐都未去過 Elements, 所以我決定帶佢行吓, 唔想佢變大鄉里.

去到 Kowloon Station, we first go to the Garden Podium (好似叫唔知咩嘢 Square), 嗰度除了比 ICC, The Waterfont, Sorrento, The Arch, The Harbourside 包圍之外, 仲有好幾間裝修 high high 哋的 restaurant, 我同 GeorG 逐一看看每間 restaurant 門口的 menu….woow…果然係 “好鬼c貴”…hahaa…雖然我唔知d食物水準, but比咁嘅價錢响九龍站天台比一羣樓圍住, 個 feel 都唔覺好正.

我同 GeorG 講, 不如落下面的"夏麪館", 平d and 我又未試過, 最多陣間再食埋 Haagen-Daz ice-cream la (因為今晚呢餐都係我請的…haaha…). Of course, GeorG 無托我手踭 :p 見到夏麪館條人龍唔係好長, 都7點鐘, 不如先 dinner 後 shopping la!

夏麪館d食物我覺得麻麻地, 唔知係咪我哋唔識叫d招牌菜, 個麵 super 唔好味 ~.~”
快快吃完個 dinner, 就同 honey 四周圍行吓….近 H&M 有呢d “best shot” settings, 好 funny…你哋話我似唔似真的坐响塊 chocolate 度呢?
呢張係我伸到隻手好長咁餵隻 rabbi 食 carrot!
我依然十分欣賞呢幾條水柱的設計:
行完 Elements, 我同 GeorG 見天色不錯, 決定行吓去 West Kowloon Promenade 當散步….點知原來都頗遠 ga…行到無鐵絲網的位置(即係租單車舖附近, 就決定停下來拍照). 只可惜無腳架, 條海濱長廊又好好風, 所以”人肉”腳架 (即係 GeorG 對手)都不能發揮超水準, d夜景相唔係好好, 請見諒 :p
右下角的藝術品正好諷刺西九是用”$”堆砌出末, 值得反思!

浪漫滿屋

3月24日, last day of the easter holiday, a day belonging to me and GeorG!
I plan to make this day to celebrate with my sweetest as tomorrow is a working day, except for dinner, nothing more i can do. So today, without letting GeorG know my plan, i just ask him to simply follow me and go for fun.

Paroni suggests me to visit 浪漫滿屋 as her friend got a nice experience on Valentine's Day. After surfing the website, knowing that it is actually a furnished private house in 錦上路 (somewhere between 元朗 & 上水) which offered dining services and with setting that suits for taking wedding pic and hosting banquets and parties, so i think it's perfect for me to bring GeorG there for a relaxing tea time! When i called to make the reservation, i reaffirm with the operator that we are coming over for tea and she said it's alright as tea starts at 3p.m. As we dont have car, the operator said the easiest way is for us to take MTR to Yuen Long and then transfer mini-bus to the House!

You cannot imagine that we have waited for around 30 minutes that none of the mini-bus got vacancy to accomodate 2 of us ~.~" with so much frustration and disappointment, i called the House and the operator suggested to come out to pick us up!

After waiting for another 10 minutes, the staff from 浪漫滿屋 arrived, but it was already 3:15p.m. lu. When we arrived the House, we were so surprised that the 浪漫滿屋 is EMPTY, we are the only customers!! And it was so funny that everywhere was just decorated as Cite Du Louvre (i mean the one in Kowloong Tong, not the one in France :p). The 浪漫滿屋 is full of different varieties of 佈景 for taking wedding pic (有白馬, 有教堂, 有千秋, 有個好小的水池, 有花柱, 有好多 canopy, 又好奇怪咁有隻轎. And like CDL, all pops and settings are actually old looking but you wont see them by telling on the pictures ~.~" i feel that this place is a little bit 騎"ler", not impressive as what people claimed on the net.
The 部長 (yes, he really looks and acts like 酒樓部長 with a cool face) come over to lead us to the dining area, it is a section which have lots of retangular tables and high-backed chairs. I can tell you obviously the setting is "扮宮廷 feel", but it looks 好娘 and 老土 ~.~" for sure all these furnitures are bought from PRC, 個 setting, 排列, 以至d小擺設好九唔搭八, 同埋好似好舊 & dirty (esp the canopy at the top!). Cannot imagine how come people would say it is a good place for holding wedding banquet.

When i asked GeorG if he like this place, he return me with a smile and say "Yes, i like it, i feel just like setting a dining table in CDL ~.~, so funny! And it's so good that we can 包場". Well, he is always supportive and doesnt want to discourged me..haaha....Anyway, let's go to order some tea first, we havent even do our breakfast in the morning! The 部長 gave us a a la carte menu and lunch set menu (which indicated that it offers till 2p.m.), i asked if there is any tea menu, he reply cooly and say "No." and then go away....well..both of us 滴汗....not much varieties on the menu and no cheap...we picked a few choices and asked the 部長 to come over again....as i think this House is so 騎"ler", there must be something 估你唔到, so i first ask the 部長 if i can order the lunch set, his reply is "Yes"....hahaaa, see, 係咪真係估你唔到呢, 哈哈哈哈. So we ordered a lunch set, add one lobster bisque and baked escargots with mashed potato).

For the food, the mushroom soup (under the set menu) taste unexpectingly good, but the Lobster Bisque....真係估你唔到咁難飲, 我會形容佢係一碗望落去是一碗你以為有90分的龍蝦湯, colour is perfect, 但味道等於蠔油溝熱水, 好鬼鹹 !.! 一心諗住佢 birthday, 所以比佢飲龍蝦湯, 唔同佢爭啦.....不過又想 try a spoon, so by the time he nearly finish the bowl, i ask for one spoon, i then discovered how bad it was, 真係辛苦咗佢 ~.~" all other food are normal!
差不多食完, 終於有客到啦, 似乎是 a pair of couple with the wedding planner coming over to site visit...don't know if they would pick this place for banquet ler??

Conclusion : 雖然浪漫滿屋比我想像的差了一點, 山長水遠入到來讓我有點失望, 一心想比個美好的回憶老公, 令我千萬分不好意思, 不過supportive 的老公不斷好言相向, 將騎"ler"化為美好, 所以都是過了一個 funny afternoon ar!

BBQ = B B Cute

Last Sat, we hosted a little gathering for GeorG's ex-PWC friends at the BBQ pit of our Clubhouse. We had Joe's family, Kenny's family and Alex joining. Apart from the normal BBQ food (chicken wing, sausages, chicken fillet, garlic bread), GeorG and I went to MK Market in that morning to buy freshy seafood. This time, we managed to buy some prawns, abalone and scallops for the BBQ...yum yum....

And what's more, we have 2 little kids joining our BBQ too, see how lovely they are: After the BBQ, all the men go to play Air-Hockey, while the ladies and kids are went to the children playhouse to have some fun! We had an enjoyable afternoon with so much joy from the BBQ and B B Cute ^o^
